Celebration Day for Nicholas Gage Camp!!

Today is a day of celebration for our grandson, his Daddy, Tommy, and Tom (PawPaw) and Theresa (Nana) and of course us, Nicky's aunts and uncles and cousins. Today in court, Tommy received rightful custody of his son. Now we know he will be safe, happy and well cared for. This is a day we have been praying for and are so happy that it has finally happened!

CONGRATULATIONS!! My Angel. YOUR grandson is home!!! Safe and sound.
It was a long, hard road.

It is ashame that you had to battle an ungrateful daughter, who cares for no one except herself. A daughter who only wanted the attention of being a mom, yet none of the effort and trials of being a REAL mom.

It is ashame you had the horror of having young Gage in the "care" of psychotic son-in-law. The same son-in-law, who stated he didn't even like this wonderful child, because this child looked like his biological father. The same son-in-law, who has domestic abuse charges filed against him; defrauding the welfare system; theft of electricity and the inability to hold a job as part of his resume.

It's ashame you had to deal with the mother of this son-in-law,who refuses to believe that her son does any wrong-ever. Her denial is incomprehensible, even to the point of allowing a child be placed in an unsafe living situation."Anything for her little, psycho son." You would think that the mutual agreement the army and her son to "go their seperate ways" after a very short stent would open her eyes. Perhaps, the fact that his most recent escapades...utility theft, eviction from duplex, welfare fraud, inability to hold a job...would make her say "Maybe,he hasn't matured, yet." or "Maybe there's a problem, here.Just maybe."

By the way, why does she think this is her grandson? I guess she doesn't believe DNA testing. After all her "little Robbie" said he was the father, the DNA's disagreement with that claim "must be a lie." It's time mom comes into the real world.

Probably, the most disgusting of all your battles was fighting the agency established to protect the children. You know the agency, who stated the reason for placing our grandson in the "care" of incompetent hands was to "re-unify the child with his mother." This was her justification. (Huh?) Of course, this is from the agency who promised to monitor the child's welfare weekly didn't even pick up the fact that the home was without gas, electricity, that the baby's crib was pushed up against the fireplace, where baby was breathing in carbon minoxide and exhibiting signs and symptoms of this. You would think they would have seen the obvious issues. By the way, how did they miss the jumper cables used to steal the electricity.
My Angel, I just don't get it.Do you?
Well you perservered and the right thing prevailed. Quite a few hurdles, I would say but not enough to keep you from the goal.

To you, Papa, and Nana--Gage says Thanks.
